Kath Bloom + Little Wings Brooklyn, NY
Connecticut folksinger Kath Bloom—the subject of a recent tribute album featuring Devendra Banhart and Bill Callahan, Loving Takes This Course—is performing in NYC clubs again after an absence of more than two decades. Her ringing voice and plainspoken sentiments give her work a disarming power. Kyle Field’s Little Wings project combines lo-fi indie folk with a charming ’60s-pop aesthetic.
