Soul Food No. 2 - Friday, March 26 in SF
Gallery 16 is throwing the second in a series of shows that present film and music together in a gallery setting to raise funds for local charities that have an obvious, honest, effective, and immediate impact on our neighborhoods.
For this second event they are working with Music in the Schools Today (MuST), who fill the budget-gap in public schools by providing instruments and music education to students.
The night features: Money Mark, Tommy Guerrero and Marc and the Casuals, along with DJ Chas Gaudi; a rare selection of movies curated by Stephen Parr from the over 50,000 film-deep Oddball archives; and beverages in the form of beer and wine. All these thrills and pleasures are included in your donation that evening.
P.S. If you want to donate an instrument, MuST could also use any of the following instruments or supplies – and this list is specific, so don’t be bringing any broken banjoes!
Electric and acoustic guitars, electric keyboards, violins, drums, music stands, microphones, metronomes, valve oil and grease.
